MONOLITHOS CASTLE (79 km from Rhodes town) The village owns its name to a huge stone that is imposed on a magnificent rock on the top of which a castle is established. Within the walls of this impregnable fortress there are the churches of St Panteleimonas and St George with fine wall paintings.
